Binary Oppositions

Binary Oppositions

A publication debuting at the Manchester Book Fair 2010, called Binary Oppositions.
Here's a definition of the concept and title:

'In critical theory, a binary opposition (also binary system) is a pair of terms or concepts that are theoretical opposites. In structuralism, a binary opposition is seen as a fundamental organizer of human philosophy, culture, and language. In the community of philosophers and scholars, most believe that "unless a distinction can be made rigorous and precise it isn't really a distinction."' - Wikipedia

As part of my dissertation research (into Derrida, deconstruction, the relationship between word and image and design publishing), this book explores the space between these binary oppositions.

The case is grey board, digitally overprinted and bound by red and black buckram.
The book is 32 pages unbound, digitally printed on newsprint and tracing paper.
Book wrap around printed on 170 gsm semi gloss.
